2017 Mercedes-Benz Sprinter Redesign
The Sprinter is one of the most recognizable commercial vans in the world, whether it be cargo or passenger. Everywhere you go, chances are good that you will see a Mercedes-Benz Sprinter Van somewhere. This omnipresence can be attributed in part by the fact that the Sprinter hasn’t been redesigned since 2006. Of course, many people say the design of a commercial van is less important than its functionality, but we don’t believe that is true.
A lot of time and effort went into designing the Mercedes-Benz Sprinter. So much so that it is silly to say that the look of it doesn’t matter. Sure, that is true for some drivers, but why not have the most industrious, and the most stylish van at the same time?
There was a refresh in 2014 that featured some new aesthetics, but not much. One of the first things to go in a redesign is the grille. It is the face of the vehicle and will likely be modified to more closely resemble the diamond-studded grille that has become popular across the Mercedes-Benz lineup. Aside from this, it is hard to say what will become of the body of the Sprinter until we get our hands on some leaked pictures.
2011 – Pre Facelift
2015 – Post Facelift
2016 – Present
The Engines are a definite red flag for upgrades because they are outdated. There will certainly still be diesel options, and that will probably still be the standard, but the engines will grow in size or feature biturbo technology to give them added power and efficiency.
The 2017 Mercedes-Benz Sprinter has been seen under wraps already, but it is still a long way from public introduction. We expect the 2017 Mercedes-Benz Sprinter redesign will be unveiled in the summer of 2017. Will Mercedes-Benz finally change the body style? Let us know what you think in the comments below!
